This was part of an ad in the 1906 (thus public domain) Pullman Herald newspaper. The ad (which was actually for a not so famous car named the "Reo Touring Car") said the car cost $1350, in the money of the time. Top speed 35 miles per hour. Wow!
This 1907 news article was titled "The application of beadwork to present day fashions" so we can know this lady was the top of style, in her day. And she was rocking beads. Everyone knows beads are cool. This was hard to synthesize because there was a lot of background noise that had to be cleaned out and I had to finish the bead loop, but it was worth it. Right? Right!
Two ladies of the 1920s sit and are examined by the viewer. The ladies that this drawing was based off are now gone from this earth, this is their digital ghost. Synthesized from an image that appear in the October 1920 edition of The Morning Tulsa (and thus safely public domain, yup!)
This lady was considered the saucy in 1902. I suppose that is a walking stick or a pointer in her hand. Or maybe some kind of stick to whack people over the heads? At least she is confident with what she has!
